In the last decade or so (at the time of me writing this post) especially with the explosion of social media, the idea of living a nomadic lifestyle has become increasingly popular.
Especially for digital marketers and serial entrepreneurs.
As entrepreneurs, it seems that most of us "suffer" from ADHD and love jumping from project to project, with an insatiable desire to learn new things, and that same curiosity seems to overflow into other areas of our life as well.
One of those being the idea of traveling and exploring new places on a regular basis.
But, even though the thought of seeing new destinations and going on spontaneous adventures may seem like a rush...
If you're brand new to it, it can certainly be scary and overwhelming.
Luckily, in our super-connected world, there's tons of excellent resources to assist you and build your confidence.
Just Get Started
One of the hangups that a lot of people have is just getting started and taking that first leap of faith.
According to one of my buddies that travels the world for months out of each year, his best piece of advice is to just get started.
Don't overthink it.
You're never going to know everything before you get started.
You'll learn as you go along.
Some great resources are to check out blogs that share tips and advice from other people who have gone before you.
Here are a few that I've found helpful...
Travel Isn't As Expensive As You Think
A fortunate "myth" and lie that people often tell themselves, that holds them back from living their dream of traveling the world full-time is that travel is expensive.
After all, that's what we've been sold for decades by the travel industry, at least in the western world.
But, the good news, is that the most expensive part of travel is usually just getting to your destination.
Once you're there, you don't have to spend a lot...unless you just really need to eat at 5 star restaurants and sleep at luxury hotels.
Otherwise, you can just couchsurf, stay at an Airbnb or hostel, and eat the same food the locals do.
What you'll often find is that in most countries outside of the United States, it's actually significantly more affordable to live and travel full-time than it is to pay for rent, utilities, and all the other expenses you typically have by staying glued to a typical 9 to 5 job back home.
Dipping Your Toe In The Water
If you're brave enough, you can just read a couple of books and blogs, and you should learn most everything you need to confidently prepare for your journey.
But, if you want to tip toe your way into this lifestyle, and perhaps be around other entrepreneurs like yourself, you may want to consider checking out sites like Remote Year or Hacker Paradise.
Both of these sites are remote work and traveling communities, that help introduce professionals to the lifestyle of traveling, living and working in different cities around the world.
But, How Do I Pay For All This?
If it is your dream to travel the world full-time and embrace the digital nomad lifestyle and you're looking for a simple method to start generating passive income from scratch, that will give you the cashflow to travel for most of the year, without the need to be tied to a desk or office constantly, I encourage you to check out my course SEO Affiliate Domination.
