SEO Link Building Strategies For Affiliate Websites


There are a lot of myths and theories when it comes to the "best" linkbuilding strategies to get a website to rank.
But in my opinion, experience and a lot of testing is going to give you the proper insights into what really works.
However, I will share some tips based on what I generally do to boost the authority of my money sites.
If it's a new domain I will typically start by sending a few high authority backlinks to the root domain with the anchor text either being the name of the site or the exact URL.
To do this you either buy your own expired domains and point links from those domains to the sites you want to rank (creating your own private blog network).
Or you can just buy high powered links from other sites like The HOTH.
After this I will start building some social bookmark and web 2.0 property links to the root domain as well as the inner pages.
For the anchor text of the social bookmark links if it's to my homepage I'll just use the root domain URL or title of the site.
But if I'm building web 2.0 links to the inner pages and posts of my site then I'll type the main keyword of the article into Google, scroll down to the bottom of the page and copy all the related keywords.
And I'll use all of those related keywords as the anchor text of the links pointing to those pages.
For instance if I had a page on my site about "custom plush animals" the list of related keywords I would used as anchor text for my web 2.0 links would be...

custom plush toys from photo
custom stuffed animals no minimum
custom stuffed animals from drawings
custom plush toy manufacturers china
design your own stuffed animal online
custom plush dolls
custom stuffed dolls look like you
For the web 2.0 links you can either purchase them from sites like Blackhatlinks or you can build them yourself with a software like Money Robot.
And that's my link building strategy in a nutshell.
I don't overthink it.
I focus first on creating high-quality content to the keyword(s) I'm targeting and looking to rank for.
And then I simply start pointing links to the root domain as well as inner pages to build up the authority of that website.
